Support for Establishing and Running Critical Thinking Programs
We provide comprehensive assistance to educational institutions in creating and sustaining critical thinking courses and programs tailored to your needs.
Faculty Training
Our faculty training program is divided into two key phases:
- Introduction to Critical Thinking: Faculty are introduced to core critical thinking concepts and frameworks.
- Application to Academic Courses: Faculty engage in discussions on how critical thinking can be integrated across various subjects, helping students apply these skills in their studies.
Training can be delivered online or in person.
Course Instruction Support
In the first 1-2 years, we can offer direct teaching support for your critical thinking course. During this time, we will work alongside your faculty, helping them gain the skills needed to independently run the course. Scalability is achievable when your faculty are fully equipped to lead the program effectively.
Development of Critical Thinking Courses
We offer expertise in developing critical thinking courses, ranging from short (12-hour) workshops to full-length (30-hour) courses, tailored to meet your institution's needs.
- Session-by-Session Course Outlines: Comprehensive planning for each session of your course.
- Ready-to-Use Quizzes: Pre-designed quizzes in Excel format for easy integration into your LMS, or printable for traditional paper quizzes. All quizzes include answer keys.
- Custom Assessments: We provide critical thinking assessments modeled on the Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Test, designed to measure students' understanding and application of critical thinking skills.
Learning Resources: Textbook
Our lead author, A.S. Prasad, presents the textbook Critical and Analytical Thinking, published by Cengage in June 2024. This comprehensive resource serves as a one-stop guide for developing critical thinking skills, covering:
